A ribbon-cutting and grand opening ceremony was held at the new location, a new, 5,550-square-foot medical office building that has been certified as Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Gold through the United States Green Building Council, according to Dr. Carolyn L. Helbert-Green. According to her husband, Revvie, who is an engineer, this is the first LEED Gold commercial building in Colleyville. He said the building design and construction focused on reducing energy consumption and waste, managing resources efficiently and reducing operation costs.
“I said I wanted lots of light, natural products, and we wanted to be more visible,” Helbert-Green said. “Above all I wanted people to feel calm and relaxed.”
The business offers comprehensive eye care services, contacts, lenses and frames, according to the website. Dr. Crystin Webb also practices there with 11 other employees. Helbert-Green has been an optometrist for nearly 30 years, learning under Dr. Leonard Pack, who had a practice in Fort Worth and was her optometrist growing up, she said. She’s worked in Austin, Fort Worth and Irving before opening her practice. Revvie Green said the couple bought this tract of land in Colleyville for the new location in 2014.
The previous location was at 1213 Hall Johnson Road, Ste. 300, which opened in 2003.
