Great Plains Bank in Southlake is in the middle of a remodel.

Regional President Chris Shah said the lobby and office space will get a modern update inside the facility. While the inside of the building is closed, the ATM and drive-thru remain open to serve customers, he said.

Great Plains Bank merged with Providence Bank of Texas on Dec. 16, 2022. The Oklahoma-based company offers personal and business accounts, as well as home loans. There are three other locations in the Dallas-Fort Worth area: Irving, Frisco and Fort Worth.

According to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, the renovation has an estimated cost of $520,000. Shah said the bank expects to reopen the lobby to customers in the middle of May.
