North Texas Performing Arts is now open in a new space in Southlake, said Lauren Boykin, vice president of sales and marketing.

The theater company has been in business since 1991 and opened the Southlake theater as its fifth location in 2021. For the past two years, the Southlake location had been operating out of a rented space inside a dance studio, Boykin said. The company now has its own permanent building with a theater and a rehearsal space.

The theater celebrated its Aug. 3 grand opening with a production of "Into The Woods Jr." Three other productions are in the works for the fall at the Southlake location, Boykin said.
