1. Summit Climbing, Yoga & Fitness moved from Mustang Drive and opened its largest location in August at 3105 William D. Tate Ave., Grapevine, according to a company representative. The location is the company’s seventh facility across North Texas and Oklahoma, according to a press release.
The gym is 36,000 square feet in total with over 13,000 square feet of rope climbing and over 6,000 square feet of bouldering, the release stated. Summit has yoga and fitness studios that offer cardio and weightlifting equipment. The rock and rope climbing facility is 50-feet high and has bouldering walls across two mezzanines, the release stated.
“We are excited for Grapevine to be the home of our largest gym to date, allowing us to provide our long-time Summit members and new climbers with a Texas-sized climbing experience,” said CEO of Summit Gyms Jason McKenzie in the release. “The DFW climbing community has grown significantly over the past 20 years, and our Summit gyms continue to bring innovative and challenging activities to enthusiastic climbers of all skill levels.”

2. Body Boutique Spa reopened at 901 W. Wall St., Ste. 103, Grapevine, on Sept. 1, according to owner Kristen Jarvis. The spa was previously located at 2855 Exchange Blvd., Southlake. 3. Principle Volkswagen has moved from Irving to a new Grapevine location. The 28,000-square-foot facility opened Sept. 30 and is located at 2351 William D. Tate Ave., Grapevine, according to the dealership’s website. 4. Towne Center Animal Hospital is moving its operations from Hurst to Colleyville. The new clinic will be located at 4401 Colleyville Blvd. Lauren Johnston, owner of the clinic along with husband and veterinarian Dr. Judd Johnston, said Towne Center Animal Hospital opened in Colleyville in 2016 before moving to Hurst. Johnston said it has been the couple’s goal to return the practice to Colleyville. Groundbreaking for the new building is set for Oct. 21. 5. Kendra Scott in Southlake Town Square is moving storefronts almost seven year after opening in the shopping center. Kendra Scott moved next door to 324 Grand Ave. E. and will open Sept. 16, according to Melanie Daifotis, Kendra Scott public relations manager.
