“When I started seeing a chiropractor, not only did my pain, numbness, tingling and headaches go away, but I noticed my sleep got better, my allergies got better, my energy got better,” Krenek said.
At that time, Krenek was a high school teacher, but because of her results, she said she switched careers and enrolled at Parker University, formerly Parker College of Chiropractic, in Dallas. She earned her Doctor of Chiropractic in 2008.
She opened Back to Life Chiropractic in San Antonio in 2010. After working there nine years, she sold the practice and opened Back to Life Chiropractic DFW in Colleyville in 2019.
Krenek said her patients report similar results after seeing her for pain that she saw herself when she sought treatment.
“People say they sleep better [and] have more energy; their digestion is better; [they] get allergy relief, have a better range of motion, run faster, and their pain is gone,” she said.
Because she is knowledgeable in a variety of techniques, Krenek said she does adjustments on all ages.
“I want people to understand, through the education process, that to me, chiropractic is not just about pain, it’s about health, wellness and prevention so they can make a decision of how they implement it in their lives,” Krenek said.
She said her business name is not only a play on words, but it also shows people that chiropractic care is about more than neck and back pain.
“People go through life thinking they have to be in pain, or they have to feel a certain way, and they don’t realize how good they can feel,” she said. “I feel like chiropractic care brings them back to life.”
First visit checklist: Michelle Krenek said these are her top priorities for a first-time patient visit. 1. Listen to find out why they came to see her. 2. Educate them on what chiropractic care is so they can figure out how they will implement it in their lives. 3. Make recommendations for future care.
