Grapevine officials and economic developers have officially submitted data to include in a proposal for Amazon's second headquarters.

In early September, Amazon announced its search for a second headquarters to operate alongside its Seattle facilities. It was an opportunity in which Grapevine officials expressed an interest, and have since been working towards gathering details to submit for a proposal.

Grapevine Economic Development Director Bob Farley said the corporate headquarters would bring a lot of benefits to Grapevine, and that the site the city has in mind would be ideal for Amazon.

"It’s a really good site," he said. "If they’re interested in Dallas, [the site] has a lot of attributes."

The site is located between SH 121 and SH 26 south of Bass Pro Drive. Farley said the site is within Grapevine city limits but sits inside the fence line of the Dallas-Fort Worth Airport.

Grapevine and other interested cities in the Dallas region have submitted their data of potential sites to the Dallas Regional Chamber, which is collecting that information and delivering it in one unified response to Amazon by the Oct. 19 deadline.
