Collin County offices will be closed Feb. 24 as freezing rain and sleet continue to fall over the Dallas-Fort Worth area, according to the county website. All early voting locations for the March 1 primary election will also be closed.

The closures come amid a second wave of winter weather in February. Earlier this month, Collin County facilities closed Feb. 3-4 for snow and sleet.

“Please stay safe, and drive carefully,” the county’s announcement stated.

According to the National Weather Service, road conditions are expected to continue to worsen Feb. 23 through 8 p.m. and will not improve until the afternoon of Feb. 24. Conditions are expected to fully clear by late in the afternoon Feb. 25.
