Upcoming projects
1. Legacy Drive construction
Project: Legacy Drive will be updated from Main Street to Panther Creek Parkway.
Update: The project is in the early planning phase. Project details are not yet available on the city’s capital improvement website, but it's expected to start construction in early 2027.
2. Legacy Drive widening
Project: Legacy Drive is set to be widened and reconstructed from Lebanon Road to Stonebrook Parkway and Stonebrook Parkway to 4th Army Drive.
Update: The project is in the design phase and is expected to start construction later this year.
3. Panther Creek Parkway widening
Project: Panther Creek Parkway is set to be widened from a four-lane roadway to a six-lane roadway from Preston Road to Coit Road.
Update: The project is in the planning phase.
4. Frisco Street construction
Project: Frisco Street will be constructed to a four-lane roadway from Cobb Hill Drive to Panther Creek Parkway.
Update: The project is in the design phase and had been previously put on hold in 2023.
Ongoing projects
5. Mahard Parkway construction
Project: The project will construct a six-lane roadway from PGA Parkway to US 380.
Update: The project has been under construction since 2024 and is expected to be completed later this year.
6. Teel Parkway widening
Project: The project will widen Teel Parkway from a two-lane roadway to a four-lane divided roadway from Stafford Middle School to Olive Branch Road.
Update: The project is expected to wrap next year.
7. King Road widening
Project: The project will construct a three- and four-lane roadway from Road Lane to Witt Road.
Update: The project is expected to continue until next year.
8. Lebanon Road widening
Project: Lebanon Road is being widened from a four-lane divided roadway to a six-lane divided roadway. The project spans FM 423 to Todd Drive.
Update: The project is expected to be completed by the end of next year.
9. Ohio Drive roundabout addition
Project: A new roundabout is being added to the Ohio Drive and Gaylord Parkway intersection.
Update: The project is under construction.
10. PGA Parkway construction
Project: PGA Parkway is being constructed to a six-lane divided roadway from Preston Road to Coit Road.
Update: The project is under construction and is expected to be completed later this year.
11. Fields Parkway traffic signal addition
Project: A new traffic signal is being added to the Fields Parkway and Dallas Parkway intersection.
Update: The project is under construction and will wrap later this year.
12. Hillcrest Road construction
Project: Hillcrest Road will be constructed into a four-lane divided roadway from Panther Creek Parkway to PGA Parkway.
Update: The project is nearing completion.
