The work is associated with Frisco’s downtown reconstruction project, according to an Aug. 10 city news release.
The details
Southbound drivers will detour via Oak and Third streets to Main Street, while northbound drivers should use Third and Seventh streets to Oak Street before returning to Fifth.
The closure is part of the $70 million Rail District redevelopment, which aims to improve walkability, add rail-themed public spaces and create a live performance venue by May 2026.
