Drivers should expect various lane and ramp closures on the Dallas North Tollway from Aug. 4-11, according to a city of Frisco news release.

The details

The southbound SH 121/Headquarters Drive exit ramp will be closed from 10 p.m-5 a.m. Aug. 4-6.

From Aug. 4-9, several lanes will close.
  • The southbound right lane from PGA Parkway to Fields Parkway will be closed daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • The north- and southbound right lane from Gaylord Parkway to Cotton Gin Road will be closed daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Two north- and southbound various lanes from Legacy Drive to US 380 will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.


The east- and westbound SH 121 to northbound Dallas North Tollway ramps will be closed from 4 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Aug. 9.


Several ramps will also be closed beginning Aug. 9-11. These include:
  • The northbound SH 121-Dallas North Tollway entrance ramp
  • The northbound Gaylord Parkway exit ramp
  • The northbound John Hickman Parkway entrance and exit ramps
  • The northbound Stonebrook Parkway exit ramp


Two northbound lanes will be closed from Headquarters Drive to Stonebrook Parkway from Aug. 10-11.

The background

The closures are part of a project to widen the tollway to accommodate area growth. A fourth lane is being added in each direction on the tollway as part of the project. It is set to cost $157.3 million, according to the North Texas Tollway Authority. The project is expected to be complete in 2025.
