PGA Parkway reconstruction
Project: PGA Parkway from Hillcrest Road to Coit Road is being reconstructed from a two-lane roadway to a six-lane divided roadway. Other improvements include adding a new PGA Parkway and HIllcrest Road traffic signal, water line extensions, new street lighting and landscaping. Construction will also widen a section of Hillcrest Road approximately 500 feet south of PGA Parkway.
Update: Construction on PGA Parkway started in September.

Stonebrook Parkway and FM 423 intersection improvements
Project: A small stretch of Stonebrook Parkway and its intersection with FM 423 is seeing roadwork to improve its traffic capacity. Improvements include adding a second left turn lane and a second right turn lane in both directions, and a new U-turn lane.
Update: Construction started in May. It is one of seven intersection improvement projects taking place across the city, all of which have either been completed or are expected to finish in mid-2025.

Legacy Drive and Stonebrook Parkway widening and reconstruction
Project: A portion of Legacy Drive and a small portion of Stonebrook Parkway will be reconstructed and widened, according to the city’s capital improvement project dashboard. The project is currently in the planning phase.
Update: City officials expect to finish road designs and send the project out to bid for a contractor in early 2026. Construction should then take a little over one year to complete, according to the city’s project dashboard.

Project: A new roundabout will be built at the intersection at Ohio Drive and Wade Boulevard in roughly two years, according to the city’s capital improvement project dashboard.
Update: Designs are expected to wrap up before the end of 2024 and then go out to bid for a contractor to begin construction. Construction should take roughly one and a half years.

- Funding source: city of Frisco
Project: A stretch of King Road, which has some shared jurisdiction between Frisco and surrounding municipalities of Denton County, Hackberry and Little Elm, between Witt Road and Rose Lane will become a three- and four-lane roadway in the next two years, according to the city of Frisco’s capital improvement projects dashboard.
Update: Designs for the road are in the final stages and a contractor should bid on the project to start construction before the end of 2024, according to the city’s capital improvement project dashboard. Work on the road is expected to finish in early 2026.

- Cost: $10.14 million
- Funding source: city of Frisco and a combination of funds from the other municipalities
Project: Ohio Drive and Gaylord Parkway is one of many intersections across Frisco slated to be turned into a multi-lane roundabout, according to the city’s capital improvement dashboard.
Update: The roundabout project is currently on hold. The delay is due to some right-of-way issues currently being resolved, according to a city social media post.

- Cost: $3.9 million
- Funding source: city of Frisco and a mix of federal dollars and transportation development credits available for local projects
Project: Two portions of Meadow Hill, between Rogers Road and North County Road and from Home Drive to the street’s end, as well as a portion of North County Drive from Meadow Hill Drive to All Stars Avenue, will see the beginnings of reconstruction in 2025. The work planned for the two roads includes remaking the streets into a concrete roadway, upgrading the drainage system and adding two single-lane roundabouts at North County Road’s intersections with Meadow Hill Drive and All Stars Avenue.
Update: Designs for the reconstructed roadways are 90% finished and slated to wrap up in early 2025. The project should then go out to bid in early 2025 with construction starting once a contractor has been chosen, according to the project dashboard.
