Frisco City Council approved a design contract for the Collinsbrook Farms Neighborhood Park at its meeting Sept. 2.
The details
Collinsbrook Farms is a master-planned residential community at the southwest corner of Coit Road and PGA Parkway. As part of the development, a 7.5-acre plot of land in the neighborhood was given to the city to build a park.
The design services for the park are expected to cost $440,400.
The park is meant to serve Collinsbrook Farms residents, as well as those in communities within a quarter-mile radius.
Dunaway Associates will design the park. It is set to feature:
- A looping trail
- Age-appropriate playgrounds for children ages 2-12
- A shade structure
- Site lighting
- Park signage
- On-street parking
- Landscaping
- Potential public art installation
Design of the park is expected to start this year and wrap up by summer 2026, according to the city’s website. Construction is set to begin next year and be completed by the end of 2027.
