The details
Veloweb is a regional trail project meant to connect more than 100 cities in North Central Texas. The design services contract was awarded to SWA Group, which will design the Panther Creek Veloweb Trail, according to city documents.
The trail is located between Panther Creek Parkway and the Frisco Springs residential subdivision, east of BNSF Railroad.
The trail will be 12 feet wide and connect north to the Veloweb segment currently being designed near the University Village residential development. It could connect to the University of North Texas Frisco Campus, and tie in to the Panther Creek Hike and Bike Trail that’s currently under construction.
The trail will eventually extend west of BNSF to Panther Creek Parkway, linking Roger’s Settlement Park with future residential and commercial developments, and provide a connection to PGA trail.
What else?
This trail was designated as part of the Regional Veloweb by the North Central Texas Council of Governments and is included in both the city’s and Collin County’s regional trail master plans.
