Aug. 12: Hold a neighborhood block party

Participate in Frisco’s Community Awareness Night by holding or visiting a block party with your neighbors. Community Awareness Night is an annual local version of National Night Out, which encourages residents to host get-togethers to get to know their neighbors better. Reach out to Frisco’s Community Services Division to register a party.Aug. 12: Go stargazing

Spend an evening at the monthly star party hosted by the Texas Astronomical Society. Telescopes are provided by the TAS.Aug. 23: Catch a movie at The Star

Meet other fans of Genshin Impact at the Windblume fan celebration. Dress as your favorite characters, meet voice actors and other fans of the game, attend panels, and more.Aug. 26: Throw discs at the Diamond

Disc golf is taking over the Frisco Rough Riders’ stadium. Discmania is presenting the event, featuring a 12-hole course, a competition area and accuracy competition.

Aug. 26: Spend the night laughing

“Aria Laughing?” is a comedy concert featuring music Mozart, Offenbach, Gilbert and Sullivan, and Broadway sung by the Dallas Classical Singers.Aug. 26: Battle it out at Nerf War

Ninja Nation is hosting a Nerf War for all ages with games such as capture the flag, freeze tag, alien invasion, Nerf Quidditch and more. Coaches will lead the games, and Nerf guns will be provided.Aug. 27: Practice ‘goga’
