With all voting precincts reporting, voters have denied the propositions that would have helped fund Frisco’s proposed performance arts center.

About 59% of residents voted against Proposition A, which would have authorized the Economic Development Corporation to use proceeds of its sales and use tax, not property taxes, for a city-owned performing arts facility.

About 64% of voters denied Proposition B, which would have authorized the city to issue up to $160 million in bonds to go toward the art center.

With unofficial results still coming in, early totals from Collin and Denton counties still show a majority of Frisco residents voting against both propositions A and B, which would help fund the city's proposed performing arts center. About 40% of residents voted for Proposition A while 59% voted against it. About 35% voted to approve Proposition B and about 64% voted against it.

Collin and Denton counties have released early voting totals for elections related to several Frisco City Council races and propositions.

Frisco voters are considering two propositions that would help fund the city’s proposed performing arts center.


According to unofficial early voting results, neither of the propositions to fund the performing arts center have been approved.

Proposition A would authorize the Economic Development Corporation to use proceeds of its sales and use tax, not property taxes, for a city-owned performing arts facility. There were 5,008 early votes for the proposition and 7,582 against it.

Proposition B would authorize the city to issue up to $160 million in bonds to go toward the art center. There were 4,355 early votes for it and 8,232 against it.

During early voting, there were 83,343 ballots cast in both Collin and Denton counties.

Totals from ballots cast May 3 have yet to be released. Polls closed at 7 p.m., although voters who were in line at 7 p.m. were still able to cast ballots.
