Frisco residents have until Thursday, April 3 to register to vote.

  • April 3: voter registration ends
  • April 22-29: early voting period
  • May 3: election day
What you need to know

The following eligibility requirements must be met to register to vote in the county:
  • Be a United States citizen
  • Be a resident of Collin or Denton counties
  • Be 18 years old, you may register at 17 years and 10 months old
  • Not be a convicted felon; however, you may be eligible to vote if you have completed your sentence, probation and parole
  • Not have been declared mentally incapacitated by a court of law
For those unsure if they are registered, Denton County residents can confirm registration here while Collin County residents can check here.

Residents have the ability to update voter registration information online, but cannot register to vote online, according to the Texas Office of the Secretary of State. Those needing to register can download the voter registration form and mail it to their respective county. Applications must be postmarked by the April 3 deadline.

Voters will have the opportunity to participate in races for various positions within their districts. Click the links below to learn more:
  • Frisco City Council: Eight candidates have filed with the city for the two Frisco City Council. Candidates for Place 2 include Burt Thakur, Sai Krishnarajanagar and incumbent Tammy Meinershagen.   • City of Frisco propositions: The election will also feature 14 propositions. Two are related to the Frisco Center for the Arts project and 12 City Charter amendments.
