Rummel secured 85% with 16,396 votes while her opponent, Anwer Azam, claimed 15% with 2,817 votes. She was first elected to council’s Place 5 in 2022.
Brian Livingston, the incumbent for City Council Place 6, ran unopposed.

Incumbent Laura Rummel is still in the lead for Frisco City Council Place 5 with 86% of the votes with 100% of Denton County precincts and 57 out of 62 Collin County precincts reporting, according to unofficial results from Denton and Collin counties.
Rummel has 15,659 votes, while her opponent Anwer Azam still sits at 14% with 2,646 votes.
