Frisco ISD students will be paying anywhere from $0.25 to $0.50 more for their meals at school after FISD trustees approved an increase to the price of paid lunches in May.

What you need to know

The district’s board of trustees approved the increase May 12, bringing the price of paid breakfast for elementary students to $2.50—up $0.50 from last year’s prices. Paid lunches will be $3 for elementary students and $4 for secondary students.

The last student meal price increase was in the 2022-23 school year, the agenda stated.

The district urges families who may qualify for meal benefits due to low family income to apply for the free and reduced meal program. Students can receive additional benefits when a family qualifies for the program, according to the district.
