Parents guided students through campus doors and helped them settle into the classrooms as district staff welcomed them in.
The details
There are 71 schools in the district including 39 elementary campuses, 15 middle schools and five high schools. It also has several 9th and 10th grade campuses as well as specialty schools such as the Technology, Exploration and Career Centers.
Around 48,356 students were enrolled in the district as of January, according to Zonda Education data. Projections indicate a steady decline moving forward with 2024 enrollment estimated at 47,792 students and 47,239 students estimated for 2025.
