Frisco ISD to expand 6.0 weighted GPA with dual credit for class of 2030

Frisco ISD is changing its weighted grade point average scale to include dual credit courses for the class of 2030. The changes will affect current sixth grade students. Dual-credit courses are college courses taken at the same time as the high school course. Courses are offered through Collin College and UNT at Frisco.

Prosper ISD officials OK 3.5% raise in 2024-25 compensation plan


Prosper ISD leaders have approved the largest pay raise in the district’s history.

The district's compensation plan for employees included a 3.5% raise for full-time staff to encourage retention and recruitment. Starting teacher salaries were also increased as part of the package. Teachers new to Prosper ISD with zero years of experience will have a starting salary of $60,000 in 2024-25, which is up from $58,250.

Lewisville ISD faces continued budget shortfall

Lewisville ISD officials forecast a $15 million shortfall for the fiscal year 2024-25 budget.


The budget shortfall for fiscal year 2023-24 is about $17.6 million. Through ongoing campus and central office staff reductions as well as other mitigation measures, the district will have lowered the budget shortfall by about $2 million in FY 2024-25. Technology, facilities, and learning and teaching departments will be affected the most as LISD continues to identify areas for reduction.
