Two candidates have filed to run in the May 6 general election for seats on the Frisco ISD board of trustees for places 4 and 5, as of Feb. 8.

Filing for a spot on the ballot for the general election will close on Feb. 17. Board members are elected to represent the whole FISD community in three-year, staggered terms.

Below are the candidates who will appear on the ballot, according to public filings on Frisco ISD’s website.

Place 4

Incumbent Dynette Davis filed to run for re-election in Place 4. Davis is currently the board’s secretary and has been a Frisco ISD resident since 2012, according to Frisco ISD’s website. As of Feb. 8, Davis is running uncontested.


Place 5

Mark Hill, who works as a trial attorney, filed to run for Frisco ISD’s Place 5. Hill has lived in the district for 17 years and is currently running uncontested.

The last day to register to vote in the election is April 6. Early voting for the May 6 election will run from April 24 to May 2. The last day to apply to vote by mail is April 25.
