Frisco ISD is spending approximately $214,700 this summer to upgrade several campuses throughout the district.

The board of trustees approved work for flooring renovations at all secondary schools at its May 9 meeting.

Ponder Company Inc., a sports flooring company with offices in Dallas, Amarillo and Englewood, Colorado, will screen and recoat all middle and high school gym floors. The company will also sand and repaint the gym floors at Scoggins and Vandeventer middle schools and the competition gym at Wakeland High School.

Competition gyms are screened and coated annually to “enhance floor performance,” meeting documents stated. Auxiliary gym floors are refreshed every two years.
