During Monday’s school board meeting Frisco ISD staff presented results of the district’s 2016-17 annual performance report.
The report is known as the Texas Academic Performance Report, and it includes information on the district’s accreditation status, campus performance objectives, information on violent or criminal incidents, and financial information.
According to the report, FISD students have consistently higher Advanced Placement participation and performance than Region 10 and Texas. FISD students also performed higher across all subjects than the 20 percent state average for the advance level in the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness.
The report also provides information on human resources, and according to the report, FISD has maintained a percentage of instructional staff at 69.1 percent compared to the state average of 64.6 percent.
The district also continues to expand its diversity of minority teaching staff with an increase of approximately 5 percent in the past three years. The report also states that the teacher turnover rate at FISD is 12.9 percent.
