Throughout 2025, Community Impact spoke with the owners and leadership of restaurants and cafes to be featured in our monthly editions. Here's a look back at the 11 dining businesses featured in Community Impact's Frisco edition in 2025.

1. Dumpling House finds success in niche market

Dumplings can be ordered steamed, pan fried or boiled. In addition to dumplings, the restaurant has a wide variety of traditional Chinese restaurant menu options such as Kung Pao chicken, Szechuan beef and sesame Chicken. Manager Jacob Jiang said he uses recipes from his parents’ Chinese restaurant for these dishes.2. The Heritage Table offers seasonal fares in downtown Frisco

Rich Vana started The Heritage Table as a catering business. All ingredients are Texas sourced in the recipes Vana creates with most produce farms being in the Blackland Prairie and Piney Woods regions.3. WB’s Table offers seasonal fares in Frisco

Top selling menu items at WB's Table include candied bacon deviled eggs, burgers, shrimp and grits and lamb bolognese. WB's Table serves brunch on Saturdays and Sundays.4. The Derbyshire serves British fare in Frisco


The restaurant serves a combination of British cuisine such as fish and chips and bangers and mash but they also have a wide variety of non-Brit inspired dishes that they have named using nods to the mother country such as Kings Club and Royal Burger. Other items include wings, salads, chicken sandwiches and more.5. Salute offers Italy-inspired atmosphere, cuisine

Salute Italian Restaurant, which opened in Frisco in January 2024, is co-owned by married couple Kiki Ademi and Benny Spaiu, and business partner Steve Lee. Ademi said Spaiu incorporate family recipes into the menu, including his mother and uncles who are chefs in Italy. He also pulls from years of culinary training gained while working under the chefs in New York.6. Ollio Patisserie offers fresh pastries in Frisco

When customers walk into Ollio Patisserie they will find a wide variety of freshly baked products including top selling items like macarons, almond croissants and co-owner Golda Sumpon’s personal favorite—chocolate croissants. Sumpon’s husband and business co-owner Keo Sumpson said his favorite menu items are their ham and cheese croissant and either the coconut or passion fruit flavored macarons.7. The Owl Bar offers signature drinks, themed food options in Frisco

The Owl Bar boasts the largest liquor and spirit selection in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, business co-owner Alex Nguyen said. The Owl Pacino, featuring fig jam, prosciutto, goat cheese, arugula and balsamic drizzle is a top seller. Other customer favorites include The Hoot, which is a margarita style pizza and Dr. Whooo with alfredo sauce, fresh spinach, chicken, mozzarella, parmesan and a pesto sauce drizzle.8. Kinzo creates performance-style dining experiences in Frisco


Kinzo, a sushi bar-centric restaurant, offers a wide selection of menu options ranging from appetizers to sashimi to omakase—an 18-course, sushi-chef interactive dining experience. Kinzo uses fresh fish flown in daily from Tokyo's Toyosu Market.9. Palato offers approachable Italian fare to community, hotel guests in Frisco

Although Palato Italian Kitchen and Lounge is located on the ground floor of Hall Hotel in Frisco, General Manager Hans Ritten and Director of Food and Beverage Carl Rogers are pleased to see a balanced mix of local diners and hotel guests enjoying the restaurant. Palato, which opened in October 2024, offers breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner and drink menus.10. Dua Trattoria offers Italian, Mediterranean fare in Frisco

Whether customers choose a classic Italian lasagna or a Balkan staple like ćevapi, Dua Trattoria co-owner Nik Vllasaliu said they can expect high-quality ingredients at a very reasonable price. Ćevapi is the top selling appetizer. Short rib ravioli, which is sautéed in Bernese, provincial and Marsala wine sauce, is a popular main dish.11. Kitchen Master serves Taiwanese, American Chinese cuisine in Frisco

With a menu that encompasses traditional Taiwanese cuisine like beef noodle soup and American Chinese fare like orange chicken, Kitchen Master strives to “give the community what they want,” General Manager Melissa Young said. The top selling menu items at Kitchen Master are dumplings, which are made in the dumpling station visible from the dining area.
