1. Panj Tara offers north Indian cuisine, brunch specials in Frisco

A new restaurant serving upscale Indian cuisine is now open in Frisco, according to a message from the owner.

Located inside the Frisco Square off of Simpson Plaza, Panj Tara offers vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals and appetizers including shrimp curry, lamb kadai, aloo palak and vegetable stew. The restaurant’s menu also includes brunch specials, desserts and a full bar with drinks such as shakes, tea and more.


2. Sitara Grand serves South Indian flavors in Frisco

Sitara Grand Indian Cuisine is now open in Frisco.

The restaurant serves thalis, a traditional and complete meal featuring a variety of dishes served on a single platter. Sitara Grand also serves curries, biryanis and more.

3. Desi District serves Indian cuisine from Frisco location


Desi District is now open in Frisco.

The restaurant and grocery store serves a variety of Indian dishes, including vegetarian options, a company spokesperson said. In addition, Desi District also sells groceries and includes a meat market where patrons can order goat, chicken, fish and more.

4. Bharat Bhavan serves Indian vegetarian cuisine in Frisco

Bharat Bhavan opened Dec. 5 in Frisco.


The menu features a range of Indian vegetarian dishes including classic street foods, regional specialties, Indian sweets and thalis—a platter filled with different dishes served in small bowls.

A company representative said in an email that all menu items are made with fresh ingredients and traditional spices.

The restaurant is the largest Indian vegetarian restaurant in the USA and is located near the Karya Siddhi Hanuman Temple in Frisco, according to the company’s website.

    5. Spicy Vihaar to open in Frisco in 2025


    A new Frisco restaurant is slated to open in 2025.

    Once open, Spicy Vihaar will serve authentic Indian cuisine, a representative said in an email. Dishes will feature South Indian flavors and include meals such as curries and dosas, according to statements on the restaurant’s social media page.

    The restaurant is expected to open sometime in January, but an exact date is still unknown, the representative said.
