The Frisco Economic Development Corporation board of directors received an update on Frisco Park 25, a planned 216-acre industrial park in North Frisco, during its regular meeting Wednesday.

The board will establish a development standard committee for Frisco Park 25 to ensure its buildings comply with the city's architecture and development standards. FEDC President Jim Gandy told the board it could appoint individuals with experience in construction, development and engineering. The board is expected to submit names for the committee by next month’s meeting.

Additionally, the FEDC board is considering implementing a potential water well and irrigation program that would help the entity save money on the park's development. The board heard a presentation from potential contractor Green Tech that could provide irrigation services for the property. The board is expected to make a decision on the well and irrigation program at April's meeting.

Gandy said construction on the Frisco Park 25 project is expected to begin in April.

Steam Realty Partners announced it will develop a 152,000-square-foot development within the park that will include the new North Texas headquarters for PowerSecure Lighting.

Skinny IT, a Frisco-based information technology service provider, also announced that it would be relocating its office and warehouse space to Frisco Park 25.
