Trader Joe’s is “considering plans for Frisco,” said Nakia Rohde, the company’s public relations manager.

Rohde said the company did not have an exact location or timeline for the possible store.

The details

The grocery store could be part of a proposed mixed-use development at the southwest corner of Main Street and Majestic Gardens Drive, said Travis Thompson, a representative for the landowner in an email to area homeowners associations. Frisco officials could not confirm a new Trader Joe's was planned for the city when reached for comment Oct. 30.

The site of the proposed development is about 10 acres, and the landowner is SNS Frisco West Main Station LLC, Thompson said.

"We are working with Trader Joe's and the city to get a mixed-use development at the southwest corner of Main and Majestic approved for a specialty grocery store and senior housing development," Thompson told Community Impact.

City officials have not approved the project.

What’s next?

An informal meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Nov. 3 at Grace Avenue Church in Frisco, where residents can learn more about the proposed development.
