A new veterinary clinic specializing in emergency medicine is now open in Frisco.

MedVet Frisco opened Jan. 20, Clinical Manager Nikki Jones said.

The clinic offers a wide variety of emergency care for cats and dogs, including treatment of broken bones, bites, wounds and other medical emergencies such as heatstroke, breathing problems and more.

MedVet does not provide general wellness care such as vaccinations, annual examinations, nail trims, or neuter/spay surgeries, according to a statement on the clinic’s website.

MedVet has over 15 clinic locations across the U.S., including one in Dallas and one in Grapevine. Another MedVet location in Richardson closed as part of the move to Frisco, according to its website.
