7. The Brunch District

The eatery has locations in Colleyville and Addison and plans to open another location in McKinney in March. The menu features steak and eggs, omeletts, skillets, egg benedicts, biscuits and gravy and more. Healthy options include chia pudding, Iron Man Scrambler and avocado toast.8. D1 Training

9. Mudbugs Bar & Grill


The Cajun restaurant closed its FM 423 location and moved in to the Revel Patio Grill. Mudbugs Bar & Grill offers po' boys, boudin nachos, crawfish pasta, beignets, bread pudding and more. Revel Patio Grill’s menu includes shrimp cocktails, steaks, burgers, chicken wings. Both restaurants offer their own brunch and cocktail menus.In the news

10. Texas Family Fitness

A franchisee based in Austin, Excel Fitness, has acquired 11 Texas Family Fitness locations across the Dallas-Fort Worth area, according to a Dec. 17 news release. Seven former Texas Family Fitness locations are receiving renovations and being converted to a Planet Fitness, which will include the addition of the gym chain’s Black Card Spa where Black Card members can access tanning, massage chairs and more.
