Two years ago, Dana Le and Lindsey Godwin met at their children’s school. Their daughters, Hadley and Kate, played soccer together while the two mothers chatted about potential business endeavors and mom life.

Those conversations sparked an idea that became a reality when House of Hadley Kate opened May 1, 2016.

House of Hadley Kate specializes in children’s themed birthday parties, something the two mothers said would not only allow children to have the party of their dreams but would also allow mothers the chance to enjoy the party as well.

“We always talked about how we wanted a party venue where moms could go and really enjoy that special event with their kids, a place where you didn’t have to do anything but show up and someone else would take care of the rest,” Godwin said.

House of Hadley Kate has booked roughly 200 parties in the one year it has been open for business. Each party is customized, letting the parent choose the colors of the decorations.

“I take great pride in what we do and know it’s not just a job or an ownership, but a responsibility to make sure you are creating the most special memory you can for these kiddos,” Le said.

A typical party goes like this: Upon arrival, attendees dress up in whichever of the variety of themes is selected. Then the children’s hair and nails are done. Then they do crafts and have a runway show, dance time, a group photo, and food and cake.

Prices vary and cover the cost for 10 children. Parties last an hour and a half, and the staff has an hourlong turnaround time to set up the next party.

“We go the extra mile with every guest that walks through our doors,” Godwin said. “We are very much involved in training our staff to be the best and to show them what taking pride in their work really means. We engage with every child throughout the party by asking questions or dancing with them or whatever it takes to make them feel like they just had the best time ever.”
