TOCA Social, a European interactive soccer-themed entertainment destination, is set to open its first American location in August 2025 in Grandscape in The Colony.

President of TOCA Social Alex Harman said Texas was chosen as the first United States location for a few reasons, including that nine matches of the 2026 FIFA World Cup will be played at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.

”We are incredibly excited about what [Grandscape] is doing,” Harman said. “It's a totally unique leisure destination ... full of best-in-class operators. We feel the energy of what they're creating at Grandscape. [It] will be a great place to launch our first U.S. venue.”

The overview

The venue will have 20 semi-private playing boxes where guests play games, eat and drink.

Each space will have an interactive digital screen with five soccer ball-oriented game options.

“You take turns [going] on to the playing area. It’s kind of like bowling, you're competing against each other in a fun and lighthearted way,” Harman said. “If you can propel a ball forward, you can play.”

The setup

Games are projected onto a screen in front of the player. Soccer balls are dispensed from a ball machine through a hatch about eight or nine yards away from the player.

“It can deliver [balls] at different angles, different heights, different speeds, depending on your ability,” Harman said. “We have different levels: beginner, intermediate and advanced. You kick the ball back at the screen so the ball becomes part of the game.”

Games are arcade-like with themes like knocking down bricks, splitting atoms and more.

What’s on the menu?

The menu features internationally-inspired finger foods such as sliders, wings and tapas.

“Typically, for active entertainment experiences, people come with pretty low expectations for food and drink, but we've got really good food and drink,” Harman said. “Every dish is able to be eaten with your fingers because we want people to be able to go in and out of playing the game while eating.”

Who it’s for

The first TOCA Social opened in London in 2021, and there is a second location in Birmingham, England. Based on demographics from those locations, Harman said millennials and young adults comprise their largest guest group.

“The second-largest [group] is families. It's a fantastic multi-generational activity,” Harman said. “It's a great thing to do with your kids and really engage with them whilst you're doing it.”
