In an effort to alleviate icy road conditions, street crews will be sanding major thoroughfares in Highland Village on Jan. 31, officials said in a release.

City hall will remain closed until 10 a.m. Feb. 1, but police, fire, streets and utility services are still on duty, officials said. Emergency services will not be interrupted, though, and online services, such as utility billing and the municipal court portal, are still available.

Finally, Community Waste Disposal, Highland Village's waste management service, will not run residential or commercial trash services Jan. 31.
