The Grove is part of the Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod, he said.
The 4,500-square-foot church has a large, multi-use sanctuary set up with tables and chairs, which can be used for worship, classes and other community needs, Scheck said. The lobby will have a sanctuary space with a stage area, tall windows and four 80-inch monitors. Special seating will be geared for families with children and bar-height tables for standing will be available, he said.
Middle school and youth groups gather every other Sunday evening in homes or at church.
Discipleship classes begin in January for adults and children 5th grade and under, he said.
“At The Grove, we believe the church is the people and the building is for the community,” Scheck said. “Our goal is to use the space 10% of the time and open it 90% of the week for community use. There’s a place here for everyone to praise God, be equipped as [God’s] child, and go serve where they live, worship, work and play.”
Members of The Grove church worshipped in Marty B’s since 2020, Scheck said.
