Women of Argyle seeks to support women in the community with monthly meetings and connection clubs, which are clubs focused on a specific interests such as reading, pickleball or food, founder and President Aimee Buckert said. The nonprofit also raises funds to support graduating seniors and young entrepreneurs in Argyle, she said.

The organization started in July and held their first meeting Sept. 15 and will continue to host monthly meetings in different locations locally, Buckert said.

“I started Women of Argyle because I wanted to create a place where women could truly come together, build friendships, and support one another while keeping that small-town sense of community that makes Argyle so special, even as we continue to grow,” Buckert said.

Each month, the organization will partner with other local nonprofits to support them and educate the community, she said. Bi-annual large fundraisers will also be held, with the first happening Nov. 9, Buckert said.

“Through Women of Argyle, my heart is to empower women, give back to our students, and make a meaningful impact right here at home,” Buckert said.
