The center is still in the early stages and the church has yet to nail down an opening date, Fritcher said. A project was filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation which listed that the construction of the 24,188-square-foot facility would take place between July 2025 and September 2026.
The center will contain a large assembly room where the church can host community meals and events for the parish as well as six new classrooms where members can teach about the Catholic faith, Fritcher said. The rooms can also be used for bible studies and social outreach activities.
Additionally, the building will feature an adoration chapel, Fritcher said. The church had a groundbreaking ceremony for the center April 10 with Bishop Michael Olson.
