Flower Mound is among the 10 winners of a statewide award that highlights investments in protecting the environment, engaging the public and creating community pride, according to a news release.

The town was named one of 10 recipients of the 2025 Governor's Community Achievement Award out of over 70 applicants through a partnership between nonprofit Keep Texas Beautiful and the Texas Department of Transportation.

The details

Flower Mound was highlighted for its partnership with Keep Flower Mound Beautiful, a local nonprofit, for beautification and sustainability efforts, including composting classes and volunteer programs with other local organizations, per the news release.
