Council unanimously approved the permit for Alloy Personal Training, which will be located at 3001 Cross Timbers Road, Ste. 100, at its April 21 meeting.
The overview
The permit approved by council applies solely to the suite within a 12,500-square-foot building where Alloy Personal Training plans to operate, Director of Development Services Lexin Murphy said. The suite where the business will operate totals 1,698 square feet, according to town documents.
Joel Collinsworth, the owner of the Flower Mound location, said the boutique personal fitness studio will operate by appointment only and with classes of no more than six people. Instructors at Alloy focus on basic strength and movement training with clients in addition to educating them on healthy lifestyle habits, Collinsworth added.
“It’s not your typical gym or fitness class,” Collinsworth said. “We’re not throwing tires around [or] clanging weights."
What else?
The specific use permit was previously recommended for approval by the planning and zoning commission at its April 14 meeting.
No timeline for when the business might open was provided during the council meeting. According to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, the anticipated finish out for the suite is expected to be complete in early September.
