The details
According to the news release, Green has served as assistant fire chief in University Park, Texas since 2017. He served as a firefighter at University Park for 27 years and advanced through the ranks, serving as both captain and battalion chief before being promoted to assistant chief.
What else?
Green holds a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences in emergency management administration from West Texas A&M University and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Public Administration at the University of North Texas, said the release.
Green is also a licensed paramedic.

Green begins his new position on Sept. 30.

The backstory
The previous fire chief, Jason Collier, resigned June 15 after being arrested for solicitation of prostitution and resisting arrest, Community Impact previously reported. He had served as assistant fire chief in Highland Village from 2008-22 before being promoted to chief.
