Chris Drew, Flower Mound Town Council Place 2 candidate, defeated opponent Brad Ruthrauff, with 5,182 votes, or 69% of the vote, to Ruthrauff’s 2,279 votes, or 31%.

Place 2 incumbent Sandeep Sharma, the town’s mayor pro tem, opted not to run again.

"I'm happy with the result—I'm not surprised," Drew said. "I had a lot of support from residents. ... I think that's what kind of led to the overall result. I'm ecstatic and happy and ready to work for the people. That's my promise, to continue to work for our residents and make sure that we have somebody on council that will listen and understand every perspective."

Ann Martin ran unopposed for the Place 5 seat and received 5,432 votes.
