As the early filing period came to a close Feb. 17, three candidates announced their intention to run for Place 2 on the Flower Mound Town Council during the May 6 local election.

Brad Ruthrauff, Chris Drew and Nagesh Kunamneni all filed to run for Place 2, with Kunamneni's application coming in on the last day applications were accepted.

Place 5 is also up for election. Incumbent Ann Martin is running unopposed for this seat.

Election Day is May 6. Early voting begins April 24.
