The new courses will be available by student request for the 2026-27 school year.
The specifics
Each year, district staff review current courses in alignment with graduation requirements, career and technical education offerings, and student interest, according to district documents.
The new courses are:
- Robotics 1
- Digital Art and Design
- Advanced Placement Business with Personal Finance
- Advertising
- Personal Financial Literacy
- AP Seminar
- AP Research
- Dance Wellness 2
Assistant Superintendent Dawn Jordan emphasized the importance of offering elective classes, such as Dance Wellness 2.
“I love the fact that we have electives that kids have fun in,” Jordan said. “I love that there’s things they just enjoy that aren’t stressful.”
