A new Whataburger has opened in Lantana, but patrons of the restaurant will have to wait to eat their meals indoors.

The restaurant opened in August with drive-through service only. The dining room is expected to open in early September, but “that is not set in stone,” said operating partner Erandi Esquivel.

Online ordering is expected to start on Aug. 21, she said. People may use the Whataburger App for ordering.

The new Whataburger is part of the Lantana Town Center development and has been in the works for nearly two years.
