The planning and zoning commission unanimously approved site plans for the first phase of Silveron Park and Lakeside Terraces, a new residential tower within the Lakeside mixed-use development, during an Aug. 25 meeting.
The overview
Realty Capital, the development firm for Lakeside, presented plans for the new residential tower, which will be 21 stories. Kyle Cooper, a development manager at Realty Capital, said there will be 163 apartments within the tower.
Lakeside Terraces will be located near the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and West Village Parkway, according to town documents. Cooper added that a parking structure will be built into the tower, and there will also be amenities for the residents, including a sixth-floor pool, on-site property management and a fitness center.
Once construction begins, it will take 29 months to complete, Cooper said. Jimmy Archie, a managing director at Realty Capital and the developer of Lakeside, said construction on the tower could begin in the summer or fall of 2026.
Also of note
Two site plans for the 46-acre Silveron Park mixed-use development were also approved by commissioners. The first site plan is for a 3-story Class A office building that will total nearly 65,000 square feet, per town documents.
The developer, Thompson Realty Capital, plans to provide 215 parking spaces for the office space. The submitted site plan also includes a potential second office building, the site of which will be temporarily used for additional on-site parking, said Brogan Miller, an associate with Thompson Realty Capital.
Ground for the office building could break as early as September, Miller said.
“It’s nice to see this coming to fruition after all this time,” Commissioner Clare Harris said.
A second site plan outlines plans for a single-story, 15,000-square-foot retail building and preparation work for future quick service restaurant pads along International Parkway. Instead of constructing patio space in front of the building, as was included in initial plans for the building, the developer will only install it if space is needed for a tenant.
What else?
The planning and zoning commission approvals were the final step in the process, meaning all three items will not be required to go before Flower Mound Town Council.
