The overview
The renovations will include replacing the carpet in all the rooms, changing the lights and repainting the rooms.
The cost of design was broken down into categories with $10,000 going to architectural schematic design development including:
- An architectural dimensioned floor plan
- An architectural enlarged lighting plan with fixture selections
- An architectural finish plan and selections
- Architectural interior elevations with material selections

Phase one of the design plan upgrades the exterior of the town hall as well as starting renovations on the interior, per town documents.
The plans for the exterior involve regrading around the building and redirecting water away from the building's foundation. This will require that flower beds, irrigation lines and grass areas are displaced and will need new landscape installed for erosion control, according to town documents.
Phase 1 for the interior will consist of:
- Replacing the floor in the lobby, council office, break room and conference room
- Replacing lighting in the lobby, break room and restrooms with a pendant light over the sink
- Upgrading sheetrock at walls with surface cracking, adding control joints and structurally reinforcing where required
- Scraping ceiling in bathrooms for smooth finish
- Replacing toilet accessories in restrooms
- Replacing doors and hardware in restrooms and break room
- Replacing millwork, countertops and appliances in the break room
- Removing one entry to the community room and repairing the wall
- Adding a new entry and platform into the community room
- Replacing the window into the community room
- Painting lobby, council office, break room, conference room and restrooms
- Replacing the carpet in the open office and surrounding offices
- Adding a new door into permits room 116 that matches surrounding doors
- Updating the private restrooms including smoothing out ceiling, replacing tile, replacing toilet partitions and accessories, adding new paint and replacing lights and adding pendant light over sink
- Replacing the carpet and base
- Patching and repairing walls as needed
- Replacing lighting with LED strips
- Replacing flooring and base
- Patching and repairing walls as needed
- Update lighting in the ramp area leading to the community room
