A Flower Mound independent living community, Pinewood Hills, held a ribbon cutting Nov. 20 after completing renovations in several areas of the facility.

Renovations to some of the common areas included converting the old library into a fitness center, updates to the in-house salon, a library and massage area in the old chapel, and the theater room, said Executive Director Cynthia Williams. The facility also got a new built-in buffet table in the dining room, fresh paint and new furniture, Williams added.

Additionally, the updates included remodeling about half of Pinewood Hills’s 117 residential units.
