Sharkey’s Cuts For Kids opened in mid-September in the Highland Village Town Center, according to a company representative.

Dutch Bros

A new Dutch Bros is expected to open soon in Flower Mound, according to a company press release.

The business serves specialty coffee, smoothies, freezes, teas, an exclusive Dutch Bros Rebel energy drink and nitrogen-infused cold brew coffee.

Dutch Bros has several locations across the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The existing Flower Mound location at 1501 Justin Road opened in December 2022.In the news


Kosmik Fusion Bar & Restaurant

A new Vietnamese restaurant, Kosmik Fusion Bar & Restaurant, is now open in Highland Village.

The new concept is a rebranding from Teaholic Teahouse & Restaurant with a new bar area and a reimagined interior space.

Kosmik’s menu includes Vietnamese dishes, such as banh mi, pho, fried rice and a whole fried fish. The restaurant’s drink menu is a selection of wines, beers and cocktails, including a pho martini. Nonalcoholic options include milk teas and iced coffees.

Uncle Mike’s Bistro celebrated its grand reopening in Argyle on Oct. 4 after renovating and adding new menu items, according to its Facebook page.

The cafe was closed for renovations from Sept. 20-27, co-owner Valarie Gross said.

Renovations included opening up the dining room, adding more seating to the space, repainting and adding patio furniture, co-owner Mike Gross said. The cafe’s hours were also extended to 8 p.m. for Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.


New menu items were also added, including flatbread pizzas, charcuterie boards, desserts, burgers, wings and sliders. Those menu items will only be available Thursday-Saturday from 5-8 p.m., Valarie Gross said. Breakfast items will be served every day from 7 a.m.-5 p.m. and the cafe will be closed Mondays.

Uncle Mike’s Bistro will be celebrating its five year anniversary Nov. 1 and live music will be performed on the patio on Thursdays-Saturday evenings starting then, Valerie Gross said.
