Flower Mound resident Jonathon Curlett is the founder and CEO of Charlie Blue Therapy. The mental health organization, which was created in 2023, offers in-person and telehealth appointments.

VanEllie’s Bake Shop

The bakery’s menu consists of four categories: bakery; ice cream and sorbet; savory and drinks, according to its website. Bakery items include chocolate croissants, white chocolate raspberry scones and more. Cookie dough salted caramel ice cream and pineapple ginger sorbet are listed among multiple flavors of ice cream and sorbets.

Cheeky Monkeys


This business features an indoor play place for children ages 10 months to 8 years old. Cheeky Monkeys also has party rooms and different party packages.

GymGuyz

The mobile personal training company recently launched a new service area for some North Texas cities. The company specializes in customized fitness programs, including strength, cardio, sports conditioning, weight loss and toning. The new territory includes service in Flower Mound.

Arcade 92


The business offers a variety of video games that include Asteroids and Mortal Kombat as well as contemporary games. Arcade 92 offers 110 games, including pinball machines, as well as food and drinks, including alcohol. A private room for parties also is available.Coming soon

The Sweet Shop

Dustin Billings said when she and her husband, Tyler Billings, were deciding where to open The Sweet Shop, they determined their hometown was the perfect location. Billings said The Sweet Shop will carry a large assortment of bulk candy as well as unique and trendy candies and an assortment of chocolates.

Mister O1


The restaurant will serve specialty star-shaped pizzas, traditional pies and calzones, according to a news release on the town of Flower Mound’s website. Mister O1 also serves salads and desserts and it offers a burrata bar. Mister O1’s ingredients are imported from Italy or locally sourced, according to a news release.

Beem Light Sauna

The business offers infrared light therapy. The private sauna suites will include chromotherapy lights, co-franchise owner Lori Green said. The Highland Village location will also offer red light therapy. The company also has planned locations in McKinney and Plano.

Cactus Canyon

Argyle Town Council approved a $100,000 Municipal Development District Grant for Cactus Canyon restaurant Dec. 18. The Tex-Mex establishment is anticipated to open in October. Cactus Canyon will serve fajitas, enchiladas and margaritas, and will be a sit-down restaurant with no drive-thru.

Pickleball Kingdom

Franchise owner Dan Jenkins has plans to expand the Arizona-based company’s footprint across North Texas. The Plano location is anticipated to be the first to open, Jenkins said. Jenkins added he is working on deals to bring a facility to Flower Mound, which could open in late 2025 or 2026.
