The city exceeded its goal of 10 percent water use reduction in October by a large margin.

Public Works Director Gary Hartwell said the city reduced usage compared to October last year was 34.2 percent for a total of 44.2 percent when adjusted for growth.

Through October, the city's licensed irrigators completed 3,225 sprinkler system check-ups.

Of the 366 checkups performed in October, 148 were because of watering restriction violations.

Frisco is part of the North Texas Municipal Water District.

Lavon Lake, which provides 30 percent of the district's water supply, was 12.79 feet below the full pool level as of Dec. 2, according to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

Lake Texoma (28 percent of the supply), Jim Chapman Lake (15 percent of the supply) and Lake Tawakani (8 percent of the supply) are also well below full pool level.
