Developers will hold a groundbreaking ceremony on a new 56,000-square-foot indoor soccer complex Sept. 29.

The complex, approved by the Frisco City Council on Aug. 5, is expected to open by April 2015.

The city of Frisco and the Frisco Economic Development Corp. is assisting with the cost of the $6 million project provided the facility is completed by April 30, 2015, according to the contract.

The facility—called Performance Indoor Training, or P.I.T.+ for short—is the product of two Frisco soccer dads who wanted to provide a training compound catered toward recreational leagues and families, owner Brian Duncan said.

The building will have five indoor soccer fields and the first Soccer RTC training simulator in the United States. The simulator measures accuracy and timing by having players relay soccer balls into lit target windows.

Professional, semi-professional, recreational and youth leagues will all have access to the facility. Any games held in the complex will also be recorded, Duncan said.

Construction has already started on the complex and the developers plan to have the building complete by November, Duncan said.

A main focus of the facility's staff will be to provide excellent customer service and bring the enjoyment of soccer to the players and their families, Duncan said.

"For a business to be extremely successful, all the research ever done says you have to stay three steps ahead of your competition, and they always have to play catch up to you," he said. "If you constantly stay ahead, you're not going to lose. So, how do you stay ahead? That is creating enjoyment of soccer for all ages by any means possible."
