Railyard Modern Living, a new upscale apartment complex in downtown Denton, will have a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Denton Chamber of Commerce in January.

After the ceremony, guests will be invited to take a tour of a one-bedroom and a two-bedroom apartment, said Jen Totsch, the property manager at Railyard Modern Living.

Coffee will be provided from the on-site coffee bar's vendors.

The details

Railyard Modern Living started leasing in July and includes five different floor plans. The gated complex has studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom and three-bedroom apartments as well as townhomes.

There are 18 different floor plans between the studios, apartments and townhomes, according to the complex’s website.

Railyard Modern Living leaned into its industrial name by revamping the silos next to the complex, including having a local muralist paint North Texas flora and fauna on the exterior.

“I think our community is beautiful and unique. We mixed modern and industrial very well,” Totsch said.

Community amenities for residents include:
  • Working coffee shop
  • Direct access to Denton Katy Trail
  • Clubhouse
  • Pool
  • Fire pits
  • Dog park
  • Outdoor grilling area
  • Two-story gym
  • Pet grooming room
  • Bike maintenance and storage
“There have been no new apartment communities in the downtown area for quite some time,” Totsch said. “We are one of the few in the apartments in the downtown area with all of these amenities.”

The apartments are also across the street from the Downtown Denton Transit Center, making it easy for University of North Texas students and Texas Woman’s University students to commute to campus.
